Mary Laughlin Fenton has over ten years' sales experience in residential and commercial properties. She has also leased and sold commercial developments and land, sold and managed income-producing properties and managed renovations on commercial buildings and single-family homes. She cut her teeth in real estate in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she worked for a local developer and ultimately owned her own brokerage. She was selected by the Office of Thrift Supervision to be an accredited broker for market evaluations.
Upon moving to San Francisco, Mary worked in the technology sector, where she held management positions at two internet startups, CNET and iSyndicate.
Mary became active in San Francisco real estate with a small firm prior to Sotheby's International Realty. She enjoys working with buyers and sellers whether experienced or first-time buyers. Her caring nature and attention to detail help make the process as smooth as possible for her clients.
Mary has been very involved in community projects including the Junior League of San Francisco, the Arthritis Foundation, board member on Symphonix, the young professional organization of the Symphony, and board member of Children of Shelters, and she is currently on the San Francisco Zoo Auxiliary. Globally, she fundraises for Dalit Solidarity, a nonprofit in India that builds homes, schools and clinics for the underprivileged. She is also an active member of her church.
A member of both the California Association of Realtors and the San Francisco Association of Realtors, Mary holds the GRI designation and Ecobroker. She is also a Notary.
Mary attended the Walton School of Business at the University of Arkansas, where she earned a BSBA in Management.
