Arnoldo Gil-Osorio has been a professional realtor for the past 26 years, all of them in the county of Santa Cruz, California, one of the most beautiful and desirable places on the planet. Since his very first year in real estate, he has been a top producer and, for several years, the top producer with the highest number and highest volume of sales in Santa Cruz County.
His success is due mostly to his extensive knowledge of the residential real estate markets, not only in Santa Cruz but also in Carmel, Monterey, Pacific Grove and Pebble Beach. He has also been involved in real estate in Los Gatos, Saratoga, Willow Glen, San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York.
Arnoldo was born in Colombia, South America, where he attended the University of the Andes (Universidad de Los Andes), one of the most prestigious universities in Latin America. He graduated with honors in Economics. For many years Arnoldo worked as a financial consultant to Hernan Echavarria, the Chairman of the Board of a conglomerate of companies that employed thousands of people. While working for Mr. Echavarria he was in charge of several real estate development projects. After his graduation from Universidad de los Andes, Arnoldo obtained a Fulbright Scholarship and participated in a doctoral program in Economics at Michigan State University.
After his marriage to a native Californian, Arnoldo moved to Santa Cruz in 1974. He and his wife, Joyce, have two daughters, Diana and Elisa. One of them, Elisa Gil-Osorio, also works with Sotheby's International Realty. Her office is on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles. It is she who inspired her father to join such a prestigious international realty company.
Arnoldo Gil-Osorio has been an extensive traveler not only in the USA but throughout Europe, Canada, the Caribbean and the Far East. Arnoldo is proficient in French and Italian and fluent in Spanish and English.
