Seymour Surnow has distinguished himself as the #1 listing and selling broker in Litchfield County year after year and ranks among the Top Ten producers in the entire worldwide Sotheby’s International Realty network. Recognized as the Litchfield Liaison to million dollar properties with a contact file of names that reads like a Who’s Who, he is regularly approached by journalists and industry leaders for his insights into the market.

In 2002 Surnow opened and became director of the new Sotheby's International Realty Southern Litchfield County brokerage office in Washington Depot. He is the driving force in its success with 2003 sales more than doubling the impressive first year and and tripled sales in 2004. Due to the phenomenal success in Washington Depot, Sotheby’s International Realty opened a Salisbury office in 2004 and an office in Marbledale in 2005 to better serve the Litchfield County market.

A native of Detroit, he graduated from the University of Michigan and began a 13-year career at the Chicago Tribune. Prior to his move into real estate he was an entrepreneur in San Francisco and New York in the fashion, home furnishings and publishing industries.
