Judy Perkins, a veteran of the New York City real estate market with Brown Harris Stevens, has had an extensive career in sales and marketing. Her first successes were with IBM in Chicago, where she was honored as a national sales leader and selected for management training in their program at the Harvard Business School. In New York, she worked in the cable television and advertising industries specializing in long form commercials, showcasing products for clients such as Allstate, Revlon, Pillsbury and Chevrolet and for agencies such as J. Walter Thompson and BBDO.

Born in the Midwest, Judy has lived in Chicago, San Diego, Greenwich and Manhattan. She is married to her husband Jim and has three daughters in Los Angeles: Susan, the financial analyst, Karen, the biochemist and Elizabeth, the actress.

A 22-year resident of Litchfield County, first as a weekender and then as a full-time resident, Judy supports local environmental groups such as HVA and the Pratt Center, where she produced a fund-raising cookbook, Cooking in the Litchfield Hills, which sold 9,000 copies. She was also an alternate member of the New Milford Planning Commission, a drafter of the town's Scenic Road ordinance and a member of the Aquifer Protection Committee, and she has served as a director on the Greater New Milford Board of Realtors.

Judy can relate to many of her customers' needs since she and her husband have had many of the same experiences. They have renovated and expanded an old house, put up a post-and-beam barn, built a swimming pool and most recently acquired land and built a classic shingle and stone house in Kent.
