Jack Young has been a realtor in Connecticut for twelve years and previously held a license in New York State. He was originally with the prominent firm of Auchincloss & Silk, which joined Sotheby’s International Realty in 2002.
After four years of flying in the Navy, Jack completed a career of thirty-two years as a commercial airline pilot before resuming his career in real estate.
Jack and his wife Peggy and their two sons moved to the shores of Lake Waramaug in 1970 to sample the relaxed lifestyle of Litchfield County. They are still there. Long-time members of the Lake Waramaug Country Club, they enjoy the golf, tennis, sailing, fishing and skiing that this wonderful community has to offer. Their six grandchildren are delighted to spend part of their summers at the lake.
He has lived on the lake for 37 years and is very involved with the maintaining and protecting the beauty of this natural lake in Connecticut.
Both Jack and Peg are involved in this small town, which requires volunteerism. Jack is a member and former president of the Washington Lions Club and was a member of the Washington Zoning Commission for six years.
Jack's second very successful career is due in large part to his professionalism, ethics, openness and knowledge of real estate. This leads to many long-term relationships, friendships and referrals.
