Yves Desgouttes, who has 18 years of commercial and property investment experience in Jackson Hole, joined Sotheby's International Realty in 2000. For more than a decade, Yves owned and managed several lodging and commercial properties in Jackson Hole and turned around two fledgling properties. Prior to that, he was based in both New York and London as a trader and treasurer for several investment institutions such as C.I.C., Midland Bank and ING. He began his career as a geologist in northern Canada. His extensive experience with Jackson Hole property investments coupled with his professional knowledge of the global investment market directly benefit his clients. An outdoors enthusiast and former professional ski racer, Yves' deep appreciation of nature drew him to the Wyoming valley of Jackson Hole. He is a member of the Oxford Society, Wyoming Lodging and Restaurant Association, Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, San Diego Venture Capitalists Group, San Diego International Sports Council and Royal Eastbourne Golf Club. Active in community affairs, Yves has served as a volunteer at St. John's Hospital. Yves, who was born in France and is fluent in the French language, was educated in England. He earned a bachelor's degree from Southampton University and did research and a thesis at Oxford University (St. Edmund Hall) where he was a member of the track and field team. He is married with four children.
