Luxury Homes and Real Estate - Sotheby’s International Realty

Houston, Texas

There’s a wise adage that states, “Success is preparation meeting opportunity.” That saying must have been written with Oleta Forse in mind. Prior to her career in residential real estate, Oleta worked in the design and home-staging industry. Her talents received media attention and she was showcased on HGTV, ABC’s “Deals,” and Great Day Houston. Eventually, after watching hundreds of homes sell quickly after they’d received her expert touch, Oleta realized that she could combine home staging with home sales and offer clients a heightened degree of expertise and service.

“My sellers are so happy to receive my help in arranging their home to look its very best before it’s listed for sale. It’s a part of my service, I love doing it, and it makes the showing process a breeze when their house looks great,” Oleta says. “I also love helping my buyers with fabric selections, furniture placement, color choices, etc. I call it “staging to live.” In fact, Oleta is licensed to teach other Realtors the art of staging. “I’d love to teach,” she says. “But my main focus is selling real estate. Perhaps I will do it someday in the future!”

Communication and honesty are two of Oleta’s greatest strengths. Clients feel at ease with her, and it’s very common for Oleta to receive a hug when she leaves a client’s home. “I work very hard to keep the stress level low during the transaction process,” she says. “I always feel that I have gained more than a client; I’ve gained a friend.”

Oleta’s enthusiasm for real estate is clear to other Realtors and all who work with her. “Helping clients sell their homes for the highest possible price and assisting buyers in finding the home of their dreams is the most fulfilling career I could ever have,” she says.

A native Houstonian who grew up in Sagemont, Oleta graduated from J. Frank Dobie High School and attended Lamar University in Beaumont. When she is not working, she enjoys snow skiing and family activities, and is actively pursuing her pilot’s license. Oleta’s two grown daughters are her pride and joy. Her older daughter was a Grand Duchess of Tyler County in 1998 and her sister was Miss Woodlands 2010. “Both are true joys, beautiful girls with beautiful hearts,” their mother says.
