Clare Leppert

Native Houstonian Clare Leppert brings fresh energy and the awareness of young families’ needs to her real estate practice. “I grew up as a Realtor’s kid,” says Clare. “My mother, Bette Carpenter, was Martha Turner’s first agent when she opened her doors in 1981. Mom used to pay me to deliver and pick up her real estate signs when I was growing up. In the 1980s – before cell phones – clients used to call our home in the evening to discuss business. My parents would pay me a quarter each time I answered the phone in a polite and cheerful voice.”

Clare joined her mother at Martha Turner Properties in 1999 on a ‘temporary basis’ when Bette broke her foot and needed help – and she’s never left. Referrals from friends and past customers are the backbone of her business, and she handles each transaction with kid gloves. It’s been a successful strategy; Clare was the company’s number five top producer for 2010, and has the Houston housing market covered with buyers and sellers in River Oaks, Royden Oaks, Tanglewood, Briargrove, Bellaire, Southampton, West University, and all of Houston’s traditional neighborhoods.

Clare holds a Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. She is not a practicing attorney, but her attorney’s skills are valuable assets for a real estate professional. Clare and her family live “outside the Loop” in Briargrove. When not working, Clare stays busy with her young family’s school and sports activities and manages to squeeze in a tennis game or Pilates class when she can.
