Long-time Piney Point resident and Circle of Excellence winner Betsy Vanderbrouk has real estate in her blood. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, she grew up listening to her mother negotiate high-end residential real estate deals. Betsy started her real estate career in 1993 and quickly gained a reputation as a hard working team player with an excellent referral network of friends and clients and top-notch organization and marketing skills.
Betsy combines market knowledge and technological know-how with a genuine regard for her clients’ preferences and concerns. She is willing to do whatever it takes to help her clients achieve their real estate goals, whether they are stepping-up to a bigger home for their family, empty nesters looking for something sophisticated and easy, or first-time buyers beginning their real estate experience.
No stranger to relocation on a personal level, Betsy and her family relocated to London for two years with a corporate move in the early 1990s. She knows that moving a family entails far more than just finding a house and takes particular care with every aspect of a client’s move into or out of Houston.
Always a ready volunteer for her neighborhood, Betsy has been instrumental year after year in such successful and well-known events as the Memorial Villages 4th of July Parade, Memorial Villages National Night Out, and numerous other community sponsored and underwritten projects. Prior to her real estate career, Betsy taught at the St. Francis Children's Center for six years and has been an active volunteer at St. John's School, Spring Branch Middle School and Memorial High School. When not working, she is a Guardian Ad Litem for Child Advocates, and an active participant in numerous volunteer projects at Palmer Memorial Church.
A graduate of Chatham Hall in Virginia and the University of Arizona, Betsy is the mother of two adult sons; Christian, who lives in New York City and works for the New York Stock Exchange, and Peter, a MBA candidate at INSEAD in Singapore. She enjoys antiquing, traveling anywhere but especially to New York to visit her grandson, and walking her black lab and golden doodle around the neighborhood.
