Fifth-generation Texan and native Houstonian Anne Hamilton is the sort of person everyone wants for a friend. Anne’s warm, engaging manner immediately puts others at ease, inspires trust and opens communication – terrific attributes for anyone but particularly helpful for a Realtor. After all, a residential real estate transaction is a business deal as well as a highly personal decision and life passage for most of us
Anne chose real estate as a career because of her positive experiences purchasing her own homes. “My Realtors were all trusted friends and advisors who wanted to serve us and help us find just the right home,” says Anne. “I realize that everyone’s home is an important part of building a family. The choice of location and neighborhood is essential in making a house a true home and I enjoy helping others find their ideal place.”
It’s always an advantage to train with the best and that’s just what Anne did after earning her Texas real estate license. “Martha Turner Properties Realtor Anne Csorba is a friend and I worked as her assistant for one-and-a-half years. It was the best experience I could possibly imagine,” says Anne. “Talk about ‘learning on the job’ – I definitely did, and I know I received the most professional, wide-ranging knowledge possible. I also learned that never meeting a stranger was a tremendous asset and to treat my clients as friends. Actually, I wouldn’t know how to do it any other way.”
Anne moved from Houston for a brief period during her high school years and attended Lamar Consolidated High School in Rosenberg and Brazoswood High School in Lake Jackson. She attended Texas A & M and is a proud Aggie graduate with a degree in accounting. After graduation, Anne worked as an auditor for Coopers & Lybrand. She made a course change to become a caterer and was a co-founder of FitzGibbs Catering.
An active community volunteer, Anne is a past board member of Holly Hall Christian Retirement Community and a supporter of Strategic Ministries, Inc. She was a member of The Junior League of Houston and National Charity League. Anne has served in leadership positions for Second Baptist School including PTO board member, Fine Arts Guild president, and Class Chairmen Mom. She and her husband, an attorney, attend St. John the Divine Episcopal Church where they have taught Sunday school classes and lead bible discussion groups. Anne presently serves as a Eucharistic and prayer minister. They are the parents of two children, a recent graduate from New York University and a freshman at Davidson College. Anne’s hobbies (when she finds the time) are travel, art appreciation, reading and exercise.
