While its geographic location may lead some to believe that the best dishes available in the Hamptons are comprised of exquisite seafood, the high-end steak houses found within this group of affluent communities are also of the highest caliber.

During the day, luxury real estate owners and faraway visitors alike can be found enjoying the picturesque area beaches and shopping at designer boutiques, but at night, many visit these upscale establishments and treat themselves to gourmet dishes created by some of the nation's most renowned chefs.

Now that summer has ended and autumn weather has become the norm, individuals looking for fine, hearty cuisine have begun to frequent these restaurants. If you're traveling to the Hamptons this season, be sure to stop in at one of these three acclaimed businesses.

1. Sotto Sopra
Established in 2011, this opulent eatery on Main Street in Amagansett has already cultivated a dedicated following because of its special atmosphere and delectable dishes featuring Northern Italian cuisine and classic steakhouse cuts. Executive chef Josh Savi has put his personal touch on each item and flavor profile, making certain every offering is held to a high standard of quality. Those looking for lighter fare can also appreciate the wood-fired pizza included on the menu, as well as the extensive list of wines and creative cocktails.

2. Palm Restaurant
Recently voted as one of the area's best by Haute Living, this steakhouse offers something for all tastes and appetites. This offshoot from the New York City original, which was opened in 1926, has a sizable menu, boasting numerous prime filets and savory sides. Additionally, its dessert selection is not to be overlooked, featuring delectable New York style cheesecake with raspberry sauce. Its optimal location on Main Street ensures a steady stream of customers, and its exclusive offerings guarantee diners will visit time and again.

3. Nick & Toni's
Visitors to East Hampton can also find high-end eats in this restaurant, which sources its ingredients from local fisherman and area farmers. During a visit, patrons can order from the large menu of Mediterranean and rustic Italian dishes, and parse selections from an expertly curated wine list. Revered for its location on North Main Street, not far away from upscale luxury homes, the establishment boasts an elegant and simple setting. The three dining rooms are centered around the wood-burning oven in this Tuscan-style farmhouse each possess a comfortable, chic aesthetic that can be enjoyed liberally - but cannot easily be reproduced elsewhere.
