After moving to Cape Cod in 1996, Ronald Tinney's painting imagination truly began to blossom. The coastal landscape and stunning views inspired him to focus more on natural landscapes and hone his oil painting skills. Since then, Tinney has become one of the most cherished local artists, and his legacy will surely grow with a new show at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod.

The exhibit, which runs from February 13 through March 10, will allow his local fans to see how his style has developed in recent years. Tinney's large and expansive portraits of the local scenery and Cape Cod houses have been revered for their expressiveness and beauty. Several years ago, two of Tinney's paintings - "Sunrise Magic" and "Resting Quietly" - were selected for The Guild of Boston Artists' Annual New England Representational Competition.

"I am thrilled that my work was recognized by the judges, and to have two pieces selected is a real honor," he told eNewsChannels at the time.

Since then, Tinney says his style has improved and his subject matter has expanded. Cape Cod residents will get a chance to see for themselves at his highly anticipated new show.
