Celebrate William Shakespeare's works at Hamptons Independent Theatre Festival3 Aug 2012 2:18 PM
William Shakespeare fanatics might enjoy a trip to the Hamptons Independent Theatre Festival (HITFest). This annual event has been a favorite in the Hamptons since 2006, and gives visitors a chance to experience the magic of the Hamptons Independent Theatre.
The festival helps encourage arts and theatre, as it was created to foster communication and generate community spirit. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a devoted fan, you're likely to make plenty of new friends at this one-of-a-kind gathering.
"Part of my mission is to offer a place where families can bring their kids to learn what it's like to experience Shakespeare in a magical setting," HITFest founder Joshua Perl told ExploreLI.
HITFest offers attendees a fun outdoor experience. Visitors can enjoy a Shakespearean performance from the bleachers or a blanket on the front lawn, located roughly 10 to 15 minutes from many local amenities, luxury homes and restaurants.
Talented actors will showcase their talents in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" from August 2, 2012, to August 19, 2012. Performances will be held behind the Bridgehampton High School.
