Jan LaMaack Conklin has almost 30 years in the business of real estate, with 25 years specializing in properties in the Hamptons. In the 1970s, when New York City was in acknowledged decline, Jan began buying, restoring and sponsoring co-op conversions of apartments, houses and full buildings on Manhattan's Upper East and West Sides. Though the city was where her successful career began, Sag Harbor became her home and ultimately the center of a thriving clientele for her on the East End. Working with many influential brokers over the past 25 years, Jan brought her talents and connections to Sotheby's International Realty in 2008. Jan's proven track record of success with buyers and sellers of new properties as well as historic homes in the area has given her invaluable insider knowledge on local area properties. Her abilities and experience in the worlds of both restoration and development are considerable and valuable to her clients. Though born in Minnesota and having attended the University of Minnesota for two years, Jan graduated from New York's Fordham University with a degree in art history, and she has been a New Yorker ever since, dividing her time between New York City, Sag Harbor and Casole d'Elsa, Tuscany.
