She has been a playwright, novelist, journalist, editor of Washington Lobby paper covering the Commerce Department and the Hill, award-winning advertising copywriter and television writer and producer. The last 15 years she has been a real estate broker in the Hamptons, and those 15 years have given her an intense grasp of the market and a philosophy of selling. Bettie understands that buyers are vulnerable and sometimes uneasy trying to make a decision that deeply affects their lives. She also knows that one needs to be sensitive to sellers, who often love their houses and don’t really want to sell.
