A Greenwich resident for over 6 decades, Tom’s family moved to Greenwich from Philadelphia when he was in kindergarten. He grew up in Riverside, attending Greenwich public schools, and earned a B. Music degree from the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford. Tom has lived in downtown and backcountry Greenwich, Old Greenwich, Byram Shore and now resides in the same pre-war Riverside house his parents bought in 1950.

In 1973, Tom became a full-time realtor, joining the venerable Greenwich independent firm Cleveland, Duble & Arnold. He was a broker and the sales manager for thirty years, finally, together with his wife Heather Platt, buying the company in 2003. In December 2011, they sold their 102-year-old firm to Sotheby’s International Realty. Tom and Heather, along with their agents, joined Sotheby’s International Realty - Greenwich Brokerage where he now works in a leadership position and has returned to his roots as a broker. From March 2013 through March 2014, Tom stepped in as Interim Manager of the Greenwich office, but has now returned to listing and selling.

Always active in the real estate community, Tom served on the Board of Directors of the Greenwich Association of Realtors from 1982 to 2009, including three stints as President, as well as holding the office of Chairman of the Professional Standards/Ethics Committee for seventeen years. Tom was the 2005 Realtor of the Year of the Greenwich Association and was honored to be inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2010.
