A Greenwich resident for over six decades, Tom and his family moved to Greenwich from Philadelphia when he was in kindergarten. He grew up in Riverside, attending Greenwich public schools, and obtained a music degree from the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford. Tom has lived in downtown and backcountry Greenwich, Old Greenwich and Byram Shore, and now resides in the same prewar Riverside house his parents bought in 1950.
In 1973, Tom became a full-time Realtor, joining the venerable Greenwich independent firm Cleveland, Duble & Arnold. He was a broker and the sales manager for thirty years, finally buying the company, together with his wife, Heather Platt, in 2003. In 2011, he sold the 102-year-old firm to Sotheby's International Realty. Tom and Heather, along with their agents, happily joined Sotheby's International Realty, where he now works in a leadership position and has returned to his roots as an active agent.
Always active in the real estate community, Tom served on the Board of Directors of the Greenwich Association of Realtors from 1982 to 2009, including three stints as President, and also held the office of Chairman of Professional Standards/Ethics Committee for the past 18 years. Tom was the 2005 Realtor of the Year of the Greenwich Association of Realtors and was honored to be inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2010.
Tom brings almost 40 years' experience to listing and selling real estate in the town he loves and knows intimately. His knowledge of the town and its history is legendary. He looks forward to working with you.
