A lifelong Greenwich resident, Peter Janis combines an extensive knowledge of the community with eight years of experience in residential real estate. Peter joined Sotheby's International Realty two years ago and is highly regarded among colleagues for representing notable properties in and beyond Greenwich. In Newtown, Connecticut, Peter listed and sold an equestrian property that marked the highest priced sale on record in the town. With the majority of his business consisting of repeat customers and referrals, Peter is known and respected for dedication to clients and expertise in the field.

Prior to a career in real estate, Peter gained significant experience in sales and marketing while working in the recording industry. In addition, he was the president of his condominium's board of directors for two years, assistant director of the town teen center for two years and currently sits on the board for the Wilmot Presbytery Church camp. Other local affiliations include his position as a Greenwich Shellfish Commissioner, which seeks to enhance and protect the waterfront habitats in town.

An appreciation for Greenwich's culture and history makes Peter a valuable asset to clients unfamiliar with the area. With three children in the Greenwich school system, he is knowledgeable about public and private schools, as well as many town organizations. Peter's knowledge of local waters makes him familiar with recreational activities in Greenwich, including fishing, sailing and boating.

A Greenwich High School graduate, Peter attended Johnson State college in Vermont and received his degree in Psychology and Art. In his free time, he enjoys sailing, running, fishing, music, hiking and spending time with his children.
