LongAcre
LONGACRE, built for Capt. Simeon Jones, captain of the clipper ship, FLYING FISH by Aaron Crosby who built several homes on Main Street. The front fence railing is said to be the railing of the FLYING FISH. The back section of the house, which looks like a three story townhouse, was added on in the early 1900's. The grounds were designed by landscape architect Frederick Law Olmstead, famous for the Public Gardens and Pearl Necklace in Boston and the Fernbrook Estate across Main Street.
