The attraction was immediate for Debra Caney, who from childhood on spent her summer vacations on Cape Cod's pristine beaches. She even returned with her own children summer after summer until permanently relocating there in 1992.

Fifteen years later, Debra continues to share her passion for all that drew her to the Cape as a top-producing realtor for Sotheby's International Realty.

She specializes in architecturally significant and waterfront properties and has negotiated an area record-setting $12 million sale for a waterfront residence. She works with homebuyers and sellers on high-end properties throughout the Cape Cod region.

Prior, Debra was a Leading Edge award winner and top producing agent for high-end real estate sales with Prudential Real Estate.

Debra's extensive knowledge of the area, both personally and professionally, is a recognized benefit to her clients. In fact, three-quarters of her clients have worked with Debra on multiple purchases and sales throughout the years, and another twenty percent work with her as a direct result of those clients' referrals.

Debra's first career was in the banking industry working with The Bank of New England. Her analytical skills, negotiating prowess and extensive knowledge of the loan process have proven extremely useful to her clients. She has leveraged her financial expertise to the benefit of both buyers and sellers.

Professionally, Debra is a member of the Cape Cod and Islands Association of Realtors. She serves on the Grievances Committee for the Cape Cod and Islands Board of Realtors, and at the state level, she is a member of the Professional Standards Committee for the Massachusetts Board of Realtors.

She has served as vice president of the League of Women Voters local affiliate and was fundraising chairperson for an area UNICEF chapter.

Debra attended Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts.
