Originally from Germany, Martin Schaefer joined Sotheby's International Realty's Palm Beach Brokerage in 2003. As founder and owner of MSPIV, Martin's own real estate management and development business in Germany, he specializes in working with European clients. Living in Wellington with his wife Sylvia and their four boys, Martin is particularly familiar with the Western communities of Palm Beach County. Martin is a member of the German Business Council in Ft. Lauderdale, an international organization to improve bilateral relations in particular by arranging personal meetings between Germans and Americans in the economic, political and cultural centers of both countries. He also serves as a vice president of one of the homeowners associations in Palm Beach Polo Golf and County Club and as a member of the Palm Beach Board of Realtors' MLS Committee. Martin is further active as an author for the German speaking Florida Sun Magazine as well as a regular speaker at the Florida Investors' Seminar in Munich, Berlin Zurich, Cologne and Frankfurt. Martin has a degree in Business Administration from BA Mannheim/Heidelberg and an architectural background from the advanced technical college in Munich, Germany. His prior career path led him to Siemens-Nixdorf, Deutsche Bank (Corporate Finance) and HVB Real Estate, one of the largest mortgage banks in Europe.
