Born in Chicago, Illinois, Kathy went to the Latin School of Chicago and Francis W. Parker School before attending Cornell University and Wellesley College and graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in Mathematics. Having moved to Santa Fe in 1975, Kathy's professional work has included work as a computer system analyst, math teacher, bank director, and hospital board chairman prior to becoming a Realtor 17 years ago. Married to Santa Fe attorney Rick Abeles, Kathy has one adult daughter, is President of La Familia Medical Center, volunteers for several other charitable organizations, and enjoys hiking, tennis, skiing, and travel.
Kathy's areas of expertise include residential properties in all price ranges, including vacation homes, and commercial 1031 exchanges with NNN leases and credit tenants.
Kathy is knowledgeable and direct, and knows Santa Fe because she has lived there for over 30 years. She is detailed-oriented and listens carefully to her clients' needs while professionally guiding them through the transaction.
After extensive travel in over 50 countries, Kathy has not found a better place to live. When she came to Santa Fe, she fell in love with the light and the mountains. She finds the tri-cultural aspect of Santa Fe enriching, and the people diverse and wonderful.
