Multiple events are occurring in Sonoma Valley on the 4th of July.

Not sure what to do in Sonoma Valley during the coming 4th of July celebrations? We can't blame you - after all, there's more than one must-attend event going on during that single evening!

If you're looking for something to eat this coming Friday night, though, you certainly won't do any better than the annual barbeque cookout held at Ramekins Cooking School, on West Spain Street. The menu alone is to die for: you can start off with wood-fired flatbreads and a grilled potato salad, graduate on to a grilled tri-tip, then finish things off with the home-made potato chips and strawberry shortcake. You'll be celebrating our independence in style over at Ramekins, with all-American dishes.

The shaded courtyard at the school will also offer prime positioning for residents of Sonoma Valley's luxury real estate to enjoy the area's fireworks display. For more information on this world-class BBQ - which will run from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. - check out the Ramekins Cooking School's official website. But know that this isn't your only option for Independence Day activities in the Valley - there's much more going on, just a bit further down the block.

For perfect fireworks positioning, hustle down to the Depot Hotel
The BBQ isn't nearly the only 4th of July celebration occur?ring in the Sonoma Valley. At 7 p.m., local residents can head down to the Depot Hotel Restaurant for the Annual fireworks party - after all, the fireworks themselves are set to go off directly above the Depot's garden. For prime relaxation - and amazement - you want to be sitting on the Restaurant's lawn when the sun goes down and the fireworks start going up. You'll be well-nourished while the event goes on, too: there will be an oyster bar catering throughout the night, a new addition to the long tradition.

For tickets, a full menu and much more information, be sure to check out the Depot Hotel's website. No matter what attraction you decide to spend your 4th of July at, though, you're likely to end up remembering it as one of the summer's highlights. There's few places in this country as upscale and enjoyable to spend time in as Sonoma Valley - and so there are few places as perfect to celebrate the country, either. Whether it's at a BBQ, a fireworks party or elsewhere, you can't go wrong on Independence Day in Sonoma.
