As a longtime Sonoma Valley resident, Brenda has been a real estate professional for more than 15 years. Her real estate career began as a logical extension to her business experience, which included not only property development and management but owning and operating a clothing store on the busy Sonoma Plaza. As a retailer she was instrumental and played a major role in establishing the Plaza Merchants Association. Her business knowledge coupled with a hardcore working knowledge of the local real estate market allows her to guide her clients not only in initial choice of location, size and style of home but through the much more crucial aspect of home purchasing, commonly known as when the client is doing their due diligence. Brenda understands that this critical time is when emotion must be set aside and the property needs to be evaluated from a logical business and investment position. It is in this area that she brings to the transaction her knowledge not only of the local neighborhoods and market but the ability to guide the buyer through their investigation of all aspects of the property from applicable building codes, condition of the property including septic and well evaluation to potential deed restrictions. Once the true condition and value of the property are determined, then Brenda is qualified to negotiate the correct purchase price on behalf of her clients. For sellers, this knowledge translates into guiding the sale through these same elements to not only secure the best possible price for clients but to assist the sellers in making the process a smooth transition. In addition to her real estate career, Brenda has also spent many long hours as an active community volunteer including chairing the Salute to the Arts and serving as the President of the Sonoma Plaza Kiwanis. From the initial introduction to the local real estate market to the sale of a home, Brenda looks forward to assisting her clients with their real estate needs.
