I’ve always wanted to own a Buzz Bainbridge house in Santa Fe! He understands the classic elements of a Mexican hacienda and Santa Fe style, with thick solid adobe walls; high handsome ceilings, with vigas, latillas, and corbels; lots of fireplaces, skylights, and nichos, spacious rooms and big closets and baths. lovely hard trowelled plaster. Bainbridge has a feeling for building a house that is comfortable and stylish, practical and beautiful, livable and elegant. This one is classic Santa Fe. Outdoor living areas include two roomy living room portals – one for the western sunsets and the distant Jemez and Ortiz ranges, and the other with views of the ski basin and Sangre de Cristo mountains; a large entertaining patio with an outdoor kitchen, and fountain; private patio off the master suite; and relaxing, portal off the studio/guesthouse. The adobe interiors are warm in winter and cool in summer, and situated to allow privacy and lovely vistas from all windows.
