From Eastside adobes and estates to a Las Campanas builder subdivision, Gary has produced over $125 million in closings since 1990. Despite recent uncertainty in the housing climate, Gary's production levels have remained constant, first at French & French Fine Properties and now Sotheby's International Realty. When asked what his key to success was, he responded that he remained true to his heart and innate sense of the market. Another success factor is his willingness to utilize simple values of honesty, loyalty, reliability and dependability in all negotiations and interactions, values encouraged by his family.
A Virginia native and Clemson University graduate, Gary has been a recognized Realtor and power broker in Santa Fe. Always willing to take a chance, Gary has been gifted as a natural bodybuilder, winning local and national awards. Golf has also been a healthy passion, and he has a love of local courses, especially in Las Campanas and as far away as Myrtle Beach, SC, where he enjoys a second home away from his custom-built Northside dream home. Central to Gary's accomplishments is his dedication to his customers. Gary is fun and sincere, able to connect with people while always keeping their business interests in mind.
His partner, Realtor Angela Gutierrez, supports his service by handling showings, transaction management and technological marketing advances with efficiency and expertise. A New Mexico native with a long family lineage, Angela graduated at the top of her class. An overachiever, she completed a bachelor's degree in business administration and a minor in accounting from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, in three years. Angela's project management career in the San Diego building market gave her expertise in working with builders, officials and architects, a skill she finds key in real estate. Angela returned to New Mexico to join French & French, now Sotheby's International Realty, immersing herself in marketing, database management, relocation and internet technology. Angela's ingenuity complements Gary's energy and innate sensibility, from listing to closing.
Gary, a farm and ranch expert, particularly loves to show ranches. He loves to be outside and experience the land through the eyes of his clients. If he is unsure about a certain aspect of a property when agents in Santa Fe ask about his inventory, he is motivated to learn more and get the information needed to make sound decisions. Gary sees some land as a blank canvass ready for the perfected paint stroke of the buyers' improvements, while other ranches are complete masterpieces with buildings and barns awaiting new caretakers. For some, vacant land can be a harder sale when the final product is not visible, so Gary will step in and help paint the final picture for them. He calls it co-creativity. Gary loves what he does, and that is what people love about him as well.
