Valerie was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and grew up in the warm charm of the mid-south. After high school she attended Memphis State University and then Ringling School of Art and New College in Sarasota, Florida, graduating with honors and a bachelor's degree in fine arts, advertising and history.
Valerie's early career choice was to be an educator, and then she moved to New York to work as an advertising executive. Her return to Florida was the start of her real estate career with Paver Development Corporation in Sarasota, specializing in new beachfront development on the barrier islands of Longboat Key, Lido Beach and Siesta Key.
Valerie has expertise in luxury homes, resort condominiums, golf course and beachfront permanent and second homes as well as commercial real estate.
Valerie's mission is to place the right home within reach of the right buyer, paramount in any real estate transaction. She understands that buying a home can be one of the most important and expensive events in a person's life, and she feels it should be a fun, comfortable and exciting time for a buyer. Her goal is to see that this happens in a timely, professional fashion with no stumbling blocks along the way. Valerie enjoys Santa Fe for its light, clean mountain air, four real but not severe seasons and cultural atmosphere that is diverse and full of fascinating history. After numerous visits to Santa Fe as a tourist and artist and leaving with extreme regret each time, she felt it was time to make the move. She relocated to her dream city in 1992 with an offer from French and French Fine Properties, now Sotheby's International Realty, and has never looked back.
