Helaine Fisher
An occupational preference test in high school predicted a future career in social work for Helaine Fisher. Instead she earned two masters degrees in history and public administration and launched an almost 20-year career, first in finance and then as a human resources director, for a large public transportation agency in New York City. During that time, Helaine rose through the ranks, eventually heading up human resources for New York City's transit subway system.
After spending many summers in the Hamptons, Helaine moved there in 1997 and embarked on a real estate career with Allan M. Schneider Associates, which was succeeded by Corcoran Group Real Estate. During seven and a half years of active practice, Helaine was consistently a top producer in both listing and selling fine properties.
After enjoying a second home in Santa Fe for a number of years, Helaine relocated full time in 2006, and together with her husband founded Berfish Development, which builds high end luxury homes. Their projects are award winning and recognized for their high quality and style.
Helaine, who has rarely met a house that she does not believe has value, prides herself on her comprehensive knowledge of available inventory. Additionally, Helaine is noted for boundless energy and focus, which she applies to every task until it is completed. These attributes have enabled Helaine to be a valuable resource for buyers and sellers alike.
