A New York native, Elayne attended the Alan School, graduating as a licensed physician's assistant. She then studied nursing at New York Community College. After her first position as a surgical assistant to a veterinarian, Elayne managed a medical office and assisted in surgical procedures for a prominent New York dermatologist. She transitioned to the entertainment industry, working first as an account executive for the business managers of KISS, then as a production assistant for MTV.
Elayne moved to Santa Fe in 1983 and has been in love ever since with the extraordinary light, landscape and diversity of people. She has witnessed the continuing enthusiastic demand for fine properties in this most unique place. An accomplished, dedicated professional (CRS, GRI), Elayne brings thoroughness, attention to detail and diligence to every transaction. She has been successfully assisting buyers and sellers for over 22 years.
Elayne has traveled extensively and enjoys film, art, horseback riding and above all, her animals. She is a former board member of the Santa Fe Animal Shelter and is married to Dr. Richard Patton, a world-traveled animal nutritionist.
