David's love for and fascination with real estate is an enduring one. David grew up in a family of merchants, working side by side with his father, grandparents, uncles and cousins at the family's successful home furnishings business. The experience imparted to him a strong work ethic as well as a fundamental understanding of the benefits of teamwork and the importance of achievement.
As a kid, Sunday mornings in part were spent poring over The New York Times. The Business and Real Estate sections were always at the forefront. Understanding the changing direction markets were taking and why fostered a broader business acumen. With an MBA in Marketing from American University in Washington, DC, and undergraduate work at the University of Pittsburgh, David is intuitive, smart, funny and somewhat irreverent.
Arriving in Santa Fe in 1996, David embraced the work that grew from his longstanding interests and drew on his wealth of business experience and expertise. As an Associate Broker, David puts his knowledge of the marketplace and business savvy to work. His challenge is bringing all the elements for a successful transaction together for clients.
Working with Christopher Rocca as one half of the dynamic duo of Home Team Santa Fe, he has achieved tremendous success at representing both buyers and sellers throughout the Greater Santa Fe area. Joining Sotheby's International Realty in early 2010, David and Christopher have boundless enthusiasm.
Prior to living in Santa Fe, David served as Development Director for a New York-based educational tour firm. He designed, marketed and managed educational focus tours at the university level and developed cultural programs for international students participating in cultural exchanges in the United States. He lived in the high cliff dwellings of Manhattan's Upper West Side.
Beyond real estate, David is a member of the SITE Santa Fe Business Council, has served on the Board of Trustees of the Santa Fe Art Institute and is a strong advocate for contemporary art in Santa Fe. Along life's journey he was once a New York City tour guide. Today he is a fountain of information about Santa Fe's present, past and future. It is the city he has come to know, love and call his own.
