Debra Reece joined the Bridgehampton office of Sotheby's International Realty as Vice President and Brokerage Manager in 2010.
Debra has 25+ years of demonstrated leadership, management and legal experience in real estate, finance, franchising and general business operations. Debra brings to Sotheby's International Realty a myriad of accomplishments related to strategic planning, business development and building the foundation for continuous improvement in a variety of organizations.
Previously, Debra was President of Reece Consulting and Development Group, LLC, and the principal of Law Offices of Debra Reece, LLP. In her roles as both a business advisor and a legal advisor, Debra successfully implemented a long-term strategic planning initiative for a mid-cap company, acted as a key liaison between suppliers and brand owners, fostered strategic alliances resulting in material business growth and represented numerous parties in sales/leasebacks of businesses and properties.
Prior to striking out on her own, Debra was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and CFO to Restaurant Services, Inc., (RSI) a $3.5 billion purchasing and supply chain management cooperative serving the Burger King® System of approximately 7,600 restaurants in the U.S. Debra ensured the smooth day to day operations of the business and was general counsel to the Board of Directors. While at RSI Debra was a key member of the management team and acted as a mentor to numerous employees who have gone on to serve as CIOs, Executive Vice Presidents and CFOs of a variety of companies in different industries. She also led complex projects and fostered integrity, teamwork and a commitment to excellence.
Before she joined the RSI team, Debra was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel to Burger King Corporation, where she provided advice to all corporate functions, including real estate development and asset management, and oversaw a real estate portfolio valued at $750 million. Prior to her tenure at Burger King Corporation, Ms. Reece was a partner at Hinckley, Allen & Snyder, in Boston, MA, where she specialized in real estate finance transactions and corporate finance.
Debra graduated cum laude with a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and obtained a B.S. in Journalism from Boston University School of Public Communication.
Debra currently resides in East Hampton, NY, with her King Charles spaniel, Heidi, who is her constant companion.
