Coming up: The 5th Annual St. Mark's Cellar Classic

For residents of the luxury real estate lined up throughout California wine country, the 5th Annual St. Mark's Cellar Classic event is likely already marked down on their calendars. If not, though, you're going to want to build your weekend around this upcoming event - which will be occurring this Saturday, between 4 and 7 p.m., within the garden courtyard located at St. Mark's-In-The-Valley Episcopal Church in beautiful Los Olivos.

Admission to the event will run $125 per person, and allows for attendance at all of the Classic's much-anticipated events. Things kickoff at 4 p.m. on Saturday with a silent auction. Your wine cellar will seem lacking no matter how well-stocked it is, once you witness the large selection of bottles up for auction here. Rare and fine wines such as Chateau Lafite Rothschild and Domaine de la Romanee-Conti will be auctioned off at the Classic, offering residents a rare opportunity to obtain some truly world-class wines.

Innumerable wines from the Santa Barbara area will be on hand throughout the whole event, as will gourmet hors d'oeuvres and a sure-to-be-delectable dessert offerings. If you're not yet convinced that this is a must-attend event, then just take a look at the staff: legendary wine consultant Steven Spurrier will be on hand all weekend to serve as the honorary chairman of this year's Classic.

"We are thrilled that Steven Spurrier will be visiting Los Olivos in June supporting St. Mark's Cellar Classic and has agreed to serve as our Honorary Chair," Brooks Firestone, founder of Firestone Wines & Curtis Winery, told the Lompoc Record.

For wine lovers, there won't be many events this summer as engrossing as the Cellar Classic. For those with well-developed tastes, this is sure to be nothing less than a highlight of the Summer itself.
