Annual festival brings a variety of bouillabaisse offerings to Santa Barbara residents15 Aug 2012 2:15 PM
Bouillabaisse is a soup or stew made with a variety of fish, and Santa Barbara residents can get their fill at the Annual Bouillabaisse Festival. This year's event will take place August 26, delivering a delicious culinary experience at Brander Vineyard.
A tasty bouillabaisse often contains at least five kinds of fish, blending a mix of flavors that satisfies many diners' tastes. Cod, flounder, haddock and white fish are just a few of the kinds you might find in this soup, and you're likely to find these and more at the 13th Annual Bouillabaisse Festival.
Visitors can try 15 bouillabaisse varieties from selected Santa Barbara-based chefs, as they will compete for best bouillabaisse, cioppino and open bouillabaisse. Additionally, attendees can enjoy auctions, music and wine, and all proceeds will support the Hospice of Santa Barbara, a volunteer organization that has assisted ailing residents and their families since 1974.
Join Santa Barbara residents at the 13th Annual Bouillabaisse Festival at Brander Vineyard, located not far from many of the area's luxury homes.
