Arve Eng was born and educated in Norway and moved to the United States in the late sixties. To get around, he had his car shipped to New York and drove it to the west coast via “Route 66 “(he could not resist Bob Dylan). As a Commercial Pilot, Arve started teaching and later flew charters out of Santa Barbara, CA. He holds multi-engine, CFI, IFI and ATR ratings.
Arve’s career in real estate began in the mid-1970s in Santa Barbara with the firm of Pitts and Bachmann (acquired by Sotheby’s International Realty in 2005) where he also managed a very successful office in Montecito for a two year period.
Arve has sold and listed properties from Santa Ynez to Ventura, but mostly in Montecito, Hope Ranch and the city of Santa Barbara. Although mostly working with residential real estate, he has successfully negotiated the acquisition and sale of multi residential, commercial, as well as ranchland.
Personally, Arve has owned a variety of different types of real estate including a small ranch with ten acres of avocados and several investment properties, including a beautiful home he built on the bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
As a real estate professional, Arve has had a great deal of success over the years and feels both lucky and thankful for having landed in a place like Santa Barbara. He can highly recommend it.
