Sally grew up in a real estate family. Her father owned a Montecito real estate company, and her family has lived in Montecito for five generations. Sally has worked in the real estate business since 1976, first at her father's Montecito real estate company until he retired and then for Pitts & Bachmann, Realtors, which is now Sotheby's International Realty. Her sales emphasis has been mostly in the Montecito area of Santa Barbara, but Sally has also represented buyers and sellers in the Carpinteria Valley, Santa Barbara City and Hope Ranch. Sally also specializes in marketing the custom homes in the prestigious Birnam Wood Golf Club of Montecito, and to date has closed 23 transactions in the club.

Sally has been active in the Montecito community. She has served as a member of the Montecito General Planning Committee, which updated Santa Barbara County's land use and architectural guidelines for Montecito, has served on the Land Use Committee and as a board member of the Montecito Association, and is an active member of the Birnam Wood Golf Club, the Montecito YMCA and the Santa Barbara Wildlife Care Network. Her many years of participation both in the Montecito real estate market and community activities support her motto, to put local knowledge to work for her clients.
