A broker associate of Sotheby's International Realty in Montecito with 25 years of experience in West Ventura County, Phil Foster Ranger has represented buyers and sellers of ranch properties in Fillmore and Santa Paula, boat dock properties in Ventura and Channel Islands Harbor, oceanfront homes in Ventura and Oxnard, luxury single-family residences with views along the Ventura hillside and in Camarillo, Ojai, and Somis, as well as a wide variety of homes and condominiums throughout West Ventura County. During his career Phil has been recognized many times for his top sales and listing achievements. Phil is also a descendent of pioneering philanthropists Eugene P. and Orpha Woods Foster, recognized as two of Ventura's most historically important people, responsible for much of Ventura County's early development.

Phil entered real estate in 1988, working for many years with Jon Douglas Company, Prudential and Prudential-Jon Douglas. He also had a one-year stint as a high achieving title representative for Fidelity National Title and worked with Pacific Rim Realtors before joining Sotheby's International Realty in 2008.

After four years serving his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam era, Phil earned his BPA from Brooks Institute of Photography and eventually an MA degree in education from Azusa Pacific University. Phil's background includes commercial photography in Steamboat Springs, CO, and Ventura, CA, professional tennis positions in Steamboat Springs and Colorado Springs, CO, Port St. Lucie, FL, and Cabrillo Racquet Club in Camarillo, CA, and four years with the Kimberlin Insurance Agency in Camarillo, CA. Phil also taught photography at Florida Institute of Technology, Jensen Beach campus and Buena High School in Ventura, CA, where he also coached the boys and girls tennis teams.
