A consistently award-winning, top-producing agent with more than 25 years of real estate experience exclusively in Greater Santa Barbara County, Marilyn Rickard joined Sotheby's International Realty in August 2000. Throughout her career, Marilyn has been active in all segments of the field, transacting residential, ranch and commercial property sales in addition to real estate development, leasing and property management. Her business ventures have run the entrepreneurial gamut from her 12-year ownership of a real estate company to being the owner of a local inn and cattle ranch. She attended the University of California at Santa Barbara and earned a bachelor's degree in social science and education from the University of California Polytechnic at San Luis Obispo. A longtime resident of Santa Barbara, Marilyn has held many volunteer affiliations. She is currently a member of the Junior League of Santa Barbara. She has continually served on the board of St. Francis Medical Center since 1975. While raising her family, Marilyn also served on the boards for many of her four children's activities including the Goleta Valley Little League, Goleta Sports Center, Channel Islands Girls Volleyball (founder) and G.A.T.E. (Gifted and Talented Education), to name a few. She also served as San Roque Catholic School's PTA president. A member of the Santa Barbara Board of Realtors, Marilyn has served on both its nominating and multiple list committees.
