Her love of travel and learning about other cultures led her to enter a Spanish language and arts program at St. Louis University, Madrid, Spain. Apart from her real estate career, her diverse interests include water and snow skiing, yoga, running, hiking, English riding, archery, oil painting, crocheting and learning languages such as Spanish and Italian.

Born and raised in Santa Barbara County, she has participated in various community events, volunteering her time. As a foundation board member for five years of one of Santa Barbara's oldest charitable organizations, St. Vincent's, she actively participated in organizing golf tournaments and fashion shows and contacting new donors.
