Debbie Hemingway

Hello, my name is Debbie Hemingway.

In 1986, at the start of my real estate career, I leased retail and office space in downtown San Francisco and over the next several years, my work evolved to residential real estate, selling houses, condominiums and multi-unit properties. My clients have come to include large Institutions such as The University of California, San Francisco, The J. David Gladstone Institute, The OddFellows of America and various trusts located throughout San Francisco. My career has expanded to where I work with multi-residential developers and sellers of Downtown San Francisco sites. Today, at Sotheby’s International Realty, I am Involved in residential and commercial Sales for my various clients.

I grew up in a traditional, Americanized, Chinese Family. In 1900, my great grandparents moved from China to San Francisco and my family has lived here ever since. Throughout the 40s and 50s, my grandparents practiced Eastern medicine and owned an herbal medicine shop in the Mission District. In addition, they taught Tai Chi at the San Francisco YWCA. My grandfather even taught my grandmother how to cook!
