San Francisco Real Estate

Carole Demsky established the rental department at Sotheby's International Realty's San Francisco brokerage in November 2008. Previously, she worked for 16 years as a residential rental agent for a local real estate company in San Francisco, where she was top producer of the year among a staff of seven. She had the distinction of renting a $22,500-a-month condominium in 2008. She has extensive experience in connecting clients to the right properties and works with both owners of rental properties and tenants.

Prior to entering real estate, she spent 20 years in the field of retail, working as a buyer first for Lord & Taylor in New York City and then I. Magnin in San Francisco. Her success in these roles derived from her attention to detail and her ability to select merchandise that suited her clients' taste and needs, skills she carries over to real estate, matching her rental inventory to her clients.

With a passion for ballet and a belief that giving back to the community is important, she has long been a member of the San Francisco Ballet Auxiliary, a fundraising group of 100 women, for which she has held numerous volunteer positions. She is also a member of the San Francisco Symphony Supper Host Committee, which hosts an annual opening night gala, and has volunteered for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.

Born in Michigan, she received her Bachelor of Science in business education from Eastern Michigan University.
