For the last several years, Tamara Sheldon has been helping clients buy and sell real estate in the greater Pasadena area, including San Marino, South Pasadena, Alhambra, Altadena, San Gabriel and Glendale.

Notable sales include a property in one of Pasadena's most beautiful designated historic neighborhoods for a record price, and one of the first homes built in San Gabriel. Her property experience extends from historic homes to some of the area's newest properties.

A graduate of Smith College and the Graduate Business School at the University of Chicago, Tamara's first career was in finance. After college she worked in domestic and international banking at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. She joined the treasury department at Digital Equipment Corporation and later became Treasurer and Director of Investor Relations at a newly public networking company. She left the hi-tech industry after ten years to become General Partner at a private investment limited partnership.

Tamara's extensive business experience has honed her negotiating, marketing and analytical skills to the benefit of her clients. She provides a high level of service while maintaining integrity and open lines of communication with all parties. Tamara's client base extends from young people buying their first property to older people selling their family home, and includes high-profile individuals with special privacy requirements.

Tamara moved to the Pasadena area from Boston in 2001 with her significant other and settled in with the help of the local Newcomers' Club. She has since served as its President and Treasurer and continues as an active member.

Her personal interests include playing the piano, cooking and travel. She has traveled to four of the seven continents, and 49 of the 50 states.

Tamara is a member of the National Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors and Pasadena-Foothills Association of Realtors.
