Catharine "Kaki" Allan is a Los Angeles native who has been licensed as a real estate salesperson since 1976. She is a graduate of Arizona State University with a master's degree from the University of Southern California and is a Senior Real Estate Specialist, manager of e-pro and Graduate Realtor Institute member. Kaki began her real estate career in Honolulu, Hawaii with the Earl Thacker Company in 1976. Upon returning to Pasadena, she joined the William Wilson Company in 1986, then Pasadena's oldest independent real estate firm. In 1998, the William Wilson Company was sold and most of the agents were recruited to the new Pasadena office of the prestigious DBL Realtors, a high-quality Beverly Hills-based company wishing to establish a presence in the Pasadena market. DBL Realtors was acquired by Sotheby's International Realty in 2004. As a result, Kaki has been representing buyers and sellers with the same group of realtors in the same market for over 30 years.
Kaki has always associated herself with management that reflects her philosophy that the quality of the transaction, not the quantity of transactions, is the key to success. Almost all of her business is by referral, with many being repeat clients and their friends and families. Kaki has a reputation for being actively involved in the transaction, from start to close of escrow, and for making sure that both sides of the transaction, not just her client's side, are fairly and properly represented. Kaki does not use an assistant and is very responsive to calls. Her business ranges from $400,000 condominiums to $4.8 million estates. She lives in Pasadena with her husband and teenage daughter and is personally active in her own portfolio of real estate investments.
