David has held a real estate license since 2000 and joined Sotheby's International Realty following a 25-year banking career. He enjoyed banking responsibilities throughout North America, a three-year posting in London and over five years in the wealth management, trusts and probate business. His wife and real estate partner, Tanya, has been active in residential real estate for almost 25 years. Their real estate transactions cover a broad range of homes in San Marino and the Greater Pasadena area. Sales range from condos and town homes, Cape Cod cottages and craftsman homes to multi-million dollar estates.
David and Tanya first moved to the Pasadena area in 1976. Their three sons attended San Marino Schools and benefited not only from the excellent academics, as SMUSD is the #1 rated public comprehensive school district in California in 2011, but also through athletics and extracurricular activities. Active in many clubs and organizations, David was appointed by the San Marino Board of Education to a term on the school board in 2000, and served as a trustee of the San Marino Schools Foundation for over 10 years. He is the 2001 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the San Marino Schools and PTA for Outstanding Contributions to the Children and Youth of the Community. San Marino Little League and the San Marino High Football Boosters were long-term commitments during their sons' school years.
David has served as Vice Chairman of the Board of the San Gabriel Valley Medical Center and as a Board Member of the Pasadena Chapter of the American Red Cross and the National Leadership Board for Student Life at the University of Arizona. He attended Whitman College and received both BA and MBA degrees from the University of Southern California.
Having lived and worked in cities outside of Southern California including Washington DC, Chapel Hill, NC, Chicago, Dallas and London, David and Tanya are well versed with both the joys and challenges of relocation.
