One Buck Mountain is located on the very top of Buck Mountain at approximately 1,550 msl. The mountain was named by some of the first settlers in the area, in the late 1800’s. The elevation provides maximum sunshine, year around as the top of the mountain top is normally above the coastal strata that can cover the valley floor. The views are without limits. The land may be the only parcel of land in Carmel Valley that has ocean views, in addition to unobstructed, panoramic views of upper Carmel Valley. Mt Toro is observed to the north, with Los Padres National Forest exposure toward the south. The property is 20 acres in size and has two separate legal lots of records. One lot without any structures and outstanding views as well, is an ideal site to build an additional home. The land is accessed by a paved, private, internal ranch road, running from the Cachagua Road. Each parcel has an ownership interest in, and is served by a long standing, approved Monterey County mutual water system. The water system is totally automated, comprising of two wells, and two water storage/boosting stations. There are a maximum number of 11 services on the water system. The water system also supplies the lake that is located on Buck Mountain. The lake overlooks Carmel Valley to the west.
