John Steinbeck's Cottage
John Steinbeck's Cottage. Three units; two-one bedrooms plus a studio on a street to alley lot. "Steinbeck bought this cottage early in 1941 and lived here briefly with Gwen Conger, who later became his second wife. He wrote parts of The Sea of Cortez and The Forgotten Village here. They moved to NYC in the summer of 1941" from the Steinbeck walking tour.
