Copperfield is a master planned community located only twenty miles from downtown Houston on State Highway 6 North, just off of Highway 290. The planned community of 2,000 acres began in 1977 when renowned Friendswood Development Company purchased the acres from the estate of Houston philanthropist Gus Wortham. Wortham was responsible for landmark contributions to the arts including the Wortham Center currently home to the Houston Ballet and Houston Grand Opera.

Composed of jogging trails, lush greenbelts, parks, pools and tennis courts, Copperfield is an enclave community with big city amenities. Yoga studios, restaurants, bookstores, a Sprouts Farmers Market and premier shopping are only steps away in Copperfield City Centre with Trader Joe’s opening in 2013.

With a variety of developers participating in home creation, each neighborhood has a distinct flavor without deviating from a deed-restricted symmetry. Home prices in Copperfield range from the low $80,000s to near $300,000. Home square footage and lot sizes vary depending on neighborhood.
