Born in East Grand Rapids Michigan, Kristin DeJong was raised on the beautiful Central Coast of California. She grew up in a family who specializes in various fields of construction and real estate and, at an early age, she appreciated and was drawn to the creativity and hard work it took to build a home from the ground up. The process of creating personalized spaces fascinated her and inspired many home improvement projects. Her very first real estate investment was at the age of 16.
For her college education, Kristin moved to the Keweenaw Peninsula in the Northern part of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In between studies, summers were spent on Lake Michigan in a log home near the historic town site of Fayette. She received her BA in English and Communication from Finlandia University, where she held the position of Community Advisor. Despite enjoying every minute spent on the Great Lakes and in the forests, Kristin felt a strong call to come back to the Central Coast. She missed the warmth of the Californian sun and the warmth of the community.
With a varied background, Kristin has developed a unique set of communication skills. Having done an internship at MSNBC’s TODAY Show in the travel department, she understands the importance of fast deadlines, creative thinking, teamwork, and problem solving. In addition, working in the field of ballroom dancing, Kristin has had the pleasure of working with people from all walks of life. Part of what makes her a great realtor are her keen sensitivities to the needs of each individual, as well as her ability to develop an effective working relationship built upon a solid foundation of trust.
Kristin is passionate, creative, and charismatic. She thrives on hard work and the satisfaction she gets by helping people turn their dreams into reality. With her diverse experience, she brings a unique and eclectic set of skills that are sharply focused on interpersonal communications that help her effectively connect with her clients.
