Joan DeMers is a dedicated full-time professional representing both buyers and sellers in Carmel, Carmel Valley, Monterey, Pacific Grove and areas surrounding the beautiful Monterey Peninsula.
Joan has been a resident of the Monterey Peninsula most of her life. She grew up in the Bay Area and moved to the Monterey Peninsula after college. She specializes in residential real estate and has a long history of assisting her clients buy or sell the perfect home in order to make their dreams come true.
Joan’s specialties include historic homes on the Monterey Peninsula including historic homes which are under the California Mills Act. Joan also has had much experience in working with 1031 tax deferred exchange clients.
Joan’s love of architecture and design as well as her prior experience as a personal banker for VIP clients for a major California bank have served her and her clients extremely well as she works with them to achieve their personal and financial goals.
Joan’s professional affiliations include the National Association of Realtors, the California Association of Realtors, and the Monterey County Association of Realtors. Community service is a major commitment in Joan’s life. She is an active member of the Rotary Club of Carmel, having served as a board member for five years, and she served as president of that rotary club in 2011-1012. She has served on many boards and committees for philanthropic and community service organizations including the Monterey Museum of Art, the Sunset Center of Carmel, the Friends of the Library in Pacific Grove and in Monterey, and served as past president of the Chamber of Commerce of Carmel.
