From Hong Kong to Rostov-on-Don, Jakarta to Manhattan, Paris to Bangkok, Chips and Crete Wood have lived and worked in cities around the globe, giving them a unique perspective in their career as Realtors® at Sotheby’s International Realty. They have made their home both within the U.S. and abroad.
Having spent the majority of his career as an international executive (culminating as President of Oshkosh B’Gosh International), Oliver “Chips” Wood brings in-depth world-wide management and marketing expertise to the team. With her years as a homemaker, mother of two children (both born in Hong Kong), corporate strategic planner, and “professional volunteer” (serving as the President of the Colorado Opera Festival Guild, as well as other Board positions), Crete brings her own set of creative skills and "can do" attitude to the team.
An expert knowledge of contracts and well-honed negotiation skills coupled with a complete knowledge of the inventory and how best to research their clients’ needs make the Woods a formidable team. They offer each and every client first-rate service as reflected in their Mission Statement: Experience. Integrity. Commitment.
The Woods feel fortunate to call the Monterey Peninsula home, and as a third generation Carmel resident, Chips has watched the town evolve from a sleepy artists’ colony to a sophisticated world-class destination. Together they have observed the Peninsula grow and prosper.
As real estate professionals since 2004, both Chips and Crete feel well qualified to welcome Buyers from both far and near to the Monterey Peninsula, to introduce them to the many beautiful amenities of the area, and to serve as their connection to this very special part of the world. For those who already call the Peninsula home, they are happy to provide prospective Sellers with a Comparative Market Analysis . . . or simply brainstorm the best approach to marketing and receiving top dollar for their property.
Please consider the Woods your personal Carmel Connection to the Monterey Peninsula.
Chips received his BA from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, an MBA from the Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia and Certificat d’ Etudes Francaises from Grenoble, France (Chips is fluent in French). Crete earned a BA from Colorado College. Chips is currently President-elect of the Rotary International Carmel Chapter and a member of the Carmel Foundation Board of Directors. They have been active members of their communities and have served on a number of Boards wherever they have lived.
