Richard Warren

Richard has been in the real estate business since 1979. He worked first in Southern California, where he was born and raised, and then moved to the Monterey Peninsula in 1990. He found the opportunities here irresistible, as well as the golf courses. Golf has always been one of Richard's greatest passions.

In college, Richard majored and graduated in Philosophy, Psychology and Art, subjects he found very useful when he later became a broker. He has been involved in the sale, marketing and exchange of many commercial and resort properties. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member, one of only a few thousand professionals who have earned that designation. Currently, he concentrates mostly on residential properties and, in particular, on homes offered by or to the many, many people who love the game of golf.

Over the years, Richard has traveled all over the world. He's played the most historic golf courses in Scotland, England, Ireland and the United States. He has been a Director of Golf on five-star luxury cruise ships and has corresponded with many of golf's legendary figures, including Ben Hogan, Byron Nelson, Arnold Palmer, Gene Sarazen, Jack Nicklaus and Ben Crenshaw. Along the way, he's picked up a few trophies of his own. As a result, he now belongs to an international club of golf enthusiasts including property buyers who might be interested in the Monterey Peninsula.

Richard and his wife, Barbara, have children and also many friends Richard first met as clients. Richard believes that business and pleasure do mix.

Richard serves on the Board of the Carmel Music Society and is the founder and current President of the Carmel Woods Neighborhood Association, a group of over 700 homes.
