Dorothy Allen

Dorothy and her husband, Ron, were named one of the top producing teams in 2011 for Sotheby's International Realty. She brings many years of residential listing, sales and management experience in the real estate market. The Allens were also awarded a Real Estate Online Marketing Award of Excellence by REALTOR.com, which demonstrates cutting-edge techniques for leveraging the internet and technology in real estate marketing, a technology that 90% of the time introduces a buyer to the home they eventually purchase. Having lived on the Monterey Peninsula for 30+ years, Dorothy is well acquainted with the area and its surroundings. Majoring in business management, she was employed in property management before becoming the office manager for Re/Max Monterey Peninsula in the 1990s, during which time she was named as Re/Max's top administrator for Northern California in 1996. Dorothy is a certified Foreclosure Alternatives Consultant and also has had the experience of buying and remodeling several homes on the Peninsula.

Before entering real estate, Dorothy was involved in corporate advertising, a stock brokerage firm and the financial management of a law firm. She was active as a volunteer in the Carmel Unified School District and served as President of the Parent Club for two years at both Carmel River and Woods Schools. She is also a certified yoga instructor.

Dorothy is a member of the Carmel Valley Women's Club, and she and Ron are active members in the Carmel Chamber of Commerce, the Carmel Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Carmel Valley Historical Society and the Carmel Foundation.

Dorothy's three children were raised in Carmel and graduated from local schools before going away to college. They have given her and Ron four wonderful grandchildren. Dorothy's activities include hiking, yoga, pilates, tennis, aerobics, graphic and interior design and traveling.
